This vibrant, abstract collage is part of my Abstractions at Play exhibition at Frank Lloyd Wright's Rosenbaum House. Inspired by the iconic architecture and Froebel’s Gifts—educational tools that encourage creativity and spatial exploration—this piece combines geometric forms with playful compositions. Each element is crafted from upcycled materials, including paper, packaging, and cardstock, layered to create depth and texture. The bold use of color and grid structures invites viewers to connect with their own sense of creativity and imagination.

I use acid-free cardstock, upcycled packaging, and cardboard in my collages. They are adhered with a permanent bond adhesive onto Ampersand Claybord art panel—which is crafted from warp-resistant, FSC-certified Hardbord. I apply a clear matte acrylic coat to finalize and preserve the work. This piece comprises four 4” square mixed-media compositions mounted in a thin maple floater frame.
