This vibrant, abstract collage is part of my Abstractions at Play exhibition at Frank Lloyd Wright's Rosenbaum House. Inspired by the iconic architecture and Froebel’s Gifts—educational tools that encourage creativity and spatial exploration—this piece combines geometric forms with playful compositions. Each element is crafted from upcycled materials, including paper, packaging, and cardstock, layered to create depth and texture. This piece has a custom Cypress frame, left in its natural state, echoing the Cypress wood used in the Rosenbaum House. My father, a craftsman, sourced the wood and made the frame. While much of my previous work is linear, this piece introduces curves, adding a new element to the composition.

I use acid-free cardstock, upcycled packaging, and cardboard in my collages. They are adhered with a permanent bond adhesive onto Ampersand Claybord art panel—which is crafted from warp-resistant, FSC-certified Hardbord. I apply a clear matte acrylic coat to finalize and preserve the work.
